Why are fluorescent lights bad for kids?
First, fluorescent lights emit a type of blue light that has been shown to suppress the production of melatonin in the body. Melatonin is a hormone that helps regulate sleep and wakefulness, and a lack of melatonin can lead to disrupted sleep patterns. This can be especially problematic for children, who require adequate sleep for proper growth and development.
